Obverse description The note is enclosed within a rectangular ruled border with ornate vignettes at each corner. At the top centre, a Russian Imperial double-headed eagle with spread wings, surmounted by an imperial crown, holds in its talons an oak branch and a laurel wreath enclosing the denomination numeral. The obligation text in Cyrillic runs in a band around the inner frame, with manuscript signatures of the bank manager inscribed below.

Reverse description The reverse presents a restrained typographic composition within a plain ruled border. A central rectangular panel carries the denomination in large Cyrillic letters set against a fine cross-hatched underprint ground, surmounted by a double-headed eagle vignette with decorative floral elements to either side.
