To the left, set against a lunar background, are four smaller heraldic shields commemorating the Apollo IX, Apollo X, Apollo XI, and Apollo XII missions, with the respective mission names and crew names of Apollo IX (McDivitt, Scott, Schweickart) and Apollo X (Stafford, Young, Cernan) inscribed on their corresponding shields.
