正面描述 Intaglio portrait of King Fahd bin Abdulaziz in three-quarter view occupies the right half of the note, set within a decorative arched guilloche panel with an ornate geometric underprint. To the left, a vignette of a traditional Najdi mud-brick fortress is rendered in fine engraving against a light ground. The issuer's name in Arabic appears at the top, flanked by the denomination numeral «١٠» at upper left and upper right corners, with two-signature titles and Arabic legends along the lower margin.

备注

This note belongs to the fourth series issued by SAMA, introduced following the enormous liquidity surge that accompanied the oil boom of the late 1970s. Saudi Arabia's currency management during this period was unusually conservative — the Riyal remained pegged to the SDR and later to the US Dollar, and SAMA resisted inflationary pressures that destabilized most neighboring economies. The series itself was a long-running workhorse; De La Rue had printed Saudi notes since the early issues, and that relationship remained essentially unbroken through successive series.

The 10 Riyal denomination was among the most heavily circulated in everyday transactions. Notes from this series are frequently found with pronounced wear at the folds.
