Qatar's P#9 was printed by De La Rue but issued under the Qatar Monetary Agency — an authority that was itself replaced by the Qatar Central Bank in 1993. That institutional overlap means this note carries the name of a body that had already been formally dissolved before the print run reached circulation, a quiet anachronism that the QMA series shares across its later dates.
The security thread on this issue is an unwindowed metallic strip, predating De La Rue's later Cleartext and Iridescent thread technologies that would appear in subsequent Qatari issues.
