A large intaglio-printed vignette of the Rafflesia flower occupies the left and centre of the note, rendered in deep burgundy tones with a second, smaller bud visible to the right in orange against a guilloche-patterned panel. The denomination numeral "10" with the "RM" prefix appears at lower centre, flanked by ornate border designs along both vertical edges.
