| Beschrijving voorzijde | Black letterpress and intaglio printing on white paper, with an elaborate guilloche border framing the entire note. At the top centre, a heraldic vignette shows a crowned coat of arms supported by two lions rampant. The bank name MÄLARE PROVINSERNAS ENSKILDA BANK is inscribed in a central band, below which the redemption text and denomination — Riksdr. SEX och 32 Sch. Banco — appear in bold script lettering. The denomination 10 RDR RGS is printed vertically in large numerals on both left and right margins, and an oval cartouche at the lower centre carries the value Rdr 6 2/3 Bco, with the issue date Westeras den 1 Oct. 1847 inscribed below the main text. |

Mälare Provinsernas Enskilda Bank was one of the provincial private banks established under Sweden's 1824 banking reforms, which permitted chartered enskilda banks to issue their own notes outside the Riksbank's monopoly. The denomination line on this note is a direct artifact of Sweden's chaotic mid-century currency system, in which three parallel units — Riksdaler Riksmynt, Riksgäld, and Banco — circulated simultaneously at fixed but awkward conversion ratios, forcing issuers to print all three equivalents to avoid confusion at the counter.
The system was abolished in 1855 when Sweden unified around the Riksdaler Riksmynt alone.
