Obverse description Printed in violet on a fine guilloche underprint, the obverse presents a right-facing portrait vignette of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in military uniform at right, framed within an ornate cartouche. At left, a vignette of the Persepolis columns (Tachara) is set within a shaped panel, with the Persian date 1333 at lower center. The Bank Melli Iran inscription in Persian script appears at top center, with the denomination in Persian numerals repeated in all four corners.

Reverse description The reverse, also printed in violet, carries a large central vignette of the Tomb of Ibn Sina (Avicenna) in Hamadan, with the distinctive cylindrical tower rising above the mausoleum complex and a backdrop of snow-capped mountains. The bilingual inscription 'BANK MELLI IRAN' appears at top in Latin script, with the denomination '10' in numerals at upper right and 'RIALS 10' at lower center. Floral and foliate ornamental borders frame the composition on either side.
