| Obverse description | The obverse features a decagonal inner design framed within the round flan, with the Arabic legend 'البنك المركزي اليمني' (Central Bank of Yemen) arranged prominently around the upper portion of the field in bold calligraphic script. At the centre, within a raised circular cartouche, the denomination '١٠ ريالات' (10 Rials) is displayed in large Arabic numerals. The dual date in both Hijri and Gregorian calendars appears along the lower portion of the field, separated by a dash. Four decorative diagonal lines radiate from the central cartouche toward the corners of the inner decagonal frame, creating a distinctive geometric composition. |

| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a detailed high-relief representation of the historic Shaharah Bridge (جسر شهارة), a celebrated Ottoman-era stone arch bridge spanning a dramatic mountain gorge in northern Yemen. The bridge's coursed stonework is rendered with fine engraving detail, its single pointed arch rising above a rocky chasm with steep cliff faces visible in the background field. The Arabic inscription 'شهارة' (Shaharah) appears in the lower left field. The composition fills the entire flan, with the natural rocky landscape serving as a backdrop to the architectural subject. |
