正面描述 Brown and blue on light underprint, with Arabic inscriptions of the Central Bank of Oman and the denomination عشرة ريالات (Ten Rials) in large script at centre. The national arms of Oman — crossed khanjar and swords — appear as a vignette to the right, framed by an ornate guilloche border with foliate corner motifs. Two signature facsimiles appear below the central text, with the serial number repeated at upper right and lower left.

背面描述 A detailed intaglio vignette of Mirani Fort, set against the rocky coastal cliffs of Muscat harbour, occupies the central field, with a vessel visible in the foreground waters. The border is formed by an intricate guilloche frame with decorative corner rosettes, and the numeral 10 appears at lower left. Inscriptions in English run along the top and bottom margins.

备注

Bradbury Wilkinson printed this note during a period when Oman's central banking infrastructure was still relatively new — the Central Bank of Oman had only been established in 1974, replacing the Currency Board that had itself only been created in 1972. The country had been issuing its own currency for barely five years when this note was produced.

The Rial Saidi had already been replaced by the Rial Omani in 1973 at par, so this 1977 issue belongs firmly to the post-transition consolidation phase, when the new institution was working to standardize its note series. Bradbury Wilkinson's New Malden facility handled the full production run.
