The countermark is surrounded by the wreath and circular legend of the underlying Pedro II 20 Réis host coin, which reads PETRUS I D.G. CONST. IMP. ET PERP. BRAS. DEF. along the border, with the date 1829 visible in the exergue area of the host coin. |
