| Reverse description | The crowned imperial arms of Brazil occupy the central field, displayed on a square shield surmounted by an imperial crown. The armorial device features the Southern Cross constellation set within an armillary sphere, itself placed on a field divided by diagonal hatching. Flanking the shield on either side are slender olive or laurel boughs, their stems crossing below the shield base. The peripheral Latin legend 'IN HOC SIGNO VINCES' encircles the entire composition along the rim. |
