Reverse description The denomination mark '10 R' is boldly rendered in the central field, with the numeral '10' above and the initial 'R' (for Réis) below, all enclosed within an open wreath of laurel branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow. Berried sprigs accent the interior of the wreath. A beaded border frames the periphery of the reverse, consistent with the plain, unadorned style typical of Portuguese Indian pattern coinage of the early nineteenth century.
