| Obverse description | The left half of the obverse carries large Fraktur script lettering spelling 'Zehn Reichsmark' over a fine multicolour guilloche underprint, with the heading 'Reichsbanknote' at top and an issue clause in Gothic script reading 'Ausgegeben auf Grund des Bankgesetzes vom 30. August 1924 / Berlin, den 11. Oktober 1924 / Reichsbankdirektorium,' accompanied by the Reichsbank eagle seal and nine facsimile signatures of the Reichsbank Direktorium below. The right half presents an intaglio portrait vignette of a young woman in Renaissance dress set within an ornate lace-like oval frame, with the numeral '10' printed in large figures to the upper and lower right against a pale guilloche ground bearing an embossed Kontrollstempel. Serial number and prefix letter appear in red at upper left and lower right. |
