| Obverse description | Central device depicts a seated lion in profile facing right, resting beside a tall staff surmounted by a radiant liberty cap, all rendered in high relief on a plain field. The motto PAZ Y JUSTICIA (Peace and Justice) is inscribed horizontally across the upper field on either side of the staff. The circular legend REPUBLICA DEL PARAGUAY runs along the left and right periphery, while the denomination 10 RS appears in large numerals along the lower exergual line. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
