| Obverse description | The obverse presents an intaglio portrait of General Miguel García Granados at right, set against a red and pink guilloche underprint, with the denomination numeral '10' in large red figures at centre. At left, a stylized Mayan glyph column and a vignette of the resplendent quetzal — Guatemala's national bird — are rendered in multicolor. The bank title and country inscription occupy the upper panel, while a biographical legend relating to García Granados's presidency (1871–1873) and an authorization date of 16 June 1995 appear in small text along the lower margin. |
