| Obverse description | At left, a seated figure of Thoth — the ancient Egyptian ibis-headed god of knowledge and writing — rendered in profile on a throne, holding a scribing instrument. To the right, the denomination '١٠ قروش' (10 Piastres) appears in large Arabic numerals in the central field.
