| Reverse description | The upper portion of the reverse field bears the Arabic legend 'السلطنة المصرية' (Sultanate of Egypt) rendered in large, elegant naskh-style calligraphy. A decorative foliate branch divides the upper inscription from the central denomination area, where the numeral '10' in Western Arabic and '١٠' in Eastern Arabic numerals appear flanking a central vertical vine ornament, with 'PIASTRES' inscribed in Latin letters below the Western numeral and 'غروش' in Arabic script below the Eastern numeral.
