| Obverse description | Central field features an elaborate interlaced floral rosette design composed of stylised arabesque knotwork arranged in a circular pattern, enclosed within a scalloped border. A five-pointed star appears at the top of the design between the legend segments. The Arabic legend 'دولة سورية' (State of Syria) curves along the upper periphery, while the date appears in both Arabic-Indic (١٩٢٩) and Western (1929) numerals in a banner across the lower field.
