Obverse description Central circular cartouche enclosing the name and titles of Husayn ibn Ali in Arabic script, with the Hijri accession date 1334 inscribed below. The field surrounding the central cartouche is divided into four lobed compartments, each bearing portions of the Arabic legend attesting to the ruler's authority and lineage. The inscription reads that this coin was issued by order of Husayn ibn Ali, servant and son of a servant, in the year 1334 AH. The overall design follows a traditional Ottoman-influenced calligraphic style with no portrait, relying entirely on inscriptions for identification.

Reverse description Central circular cartouche enclosing the word 'هاشمي' (Hashemite) in bold calligraphic Arabic script. The surrounding field is divided into four lobed compartments bearing the full governmental legend: the Hashemite Arab Government inscription appears at the top, the denomination of ten qirush is stated in the field, and the mint and date legend at the lower portion records that the coin was struck in the holy city of Mecca in the regnal year 8 (AH 1342 / AD 1923). The design is entirely epigraphic, consistent with Islamic numismatic tradition, and executed in a flowing Naskh-influenced calligraphic style.
