Reverse description The reverse is divided into two horizontal registers within a beaded border. The upper register features the Eagle of Saladin — the United Arab Republic state emblem — displayed with wings spread, flanked symmetrically on each side by crossed wheat and palm fronds symbolizing agricultural plenty. The lower register depicts a relief-style ancient Egyptian farming scene in which two male figures guide a team of oxen pulling a plow across the field, evoking the Pharaonic agricultural heritage. The FAO acronym 'F.A.O.' is inscribed in the exergue beneath the scene.
