| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central design features a panoramic view of the ancient ruins of Palmyra, depicting the monumental Arch of Triumph and the colonnaded decumanus maximus, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. To the right of the central design, a latent image security hologram alternates between the initials of the Central Bank of Syria (CBS) and the numeral 10 when viewed at different angles. The denomination in Arabic words and numerals appears in the field, accompanied by the country name in Arabic legend around the periphery. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Syria's shift to a hologram security feature on this issue was a direct response to widespread counterfeiting of smaller-denomination coinage that had plagued the country through the 1990s. The Central Bank's decision to apply the technology to a mid-denomination circulation coin — rather than reserve it for high-value notes — was unusual for the region at the time.
