The surrounding band carries the legislative inscription referencing Act 9, Geo. IV, Cap. 23. A violet bank endorsement stamp reading 'LONDON & PROVINCIAL BANK LIMITED, ROCHESTER' is applied diagonally across the green underprint, alongside a circular Faversham Bank cancellation stamp at upper right. |
