| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into four segments by a spoke-like framework evoking an Enigma machine rotor wheel, within which four portrait busts of celebrated World War II codebreakers are rendered in high relief. Background elements in each segment include imagery referencing Bletchley Park, the Enigma machine, maps of Britain and France, and encrypted cipher text. At the centre, a raised circular cartouche bears the Gibraltar Arms — a three-towered castle above a key — with the legends GIBRALTAR, 5oz, Ag999, MONTIS INSIGNIA CALPE, and TEN POUNDS 2021 inscribed around and below the arms.
