| Beschrijving voorzijde | Fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, depicting the sovereign wearing the George IV State Diadem, as designed by Jody Clark. The truncated bust is rendered in high relief, characteristic of the piedfort format. The encircling legend reads the royal title in Latin, with the denomination stated below, and the designer's initials 'J.C.' appear at the truncation. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The White Greyhound of Richmond is one of the ten heraldic beasts drawn from the 1953 coronation ceremony of Elizabeth II, where sculpted versions flanked the Queen's Champion at Westminster Abbey. The Piedfort format — double the standard thickness — originates from a French medieval practice of striking presentation pieces for record-keeping and diplomatic gift-giving, a tradition the Royal Mint formally revived in 1982.
At over 312 grams of .999 silver, handling one of these is a different experience from nearly any other circulation-adjacent issue in the Queen's Beasts program.
