| Descrizione del rovescio | The elaborately decorated reverse, designed and engraved by John Bergdahl, features a central oval cartouche bearing the dedicatory inscription commemorating the christening of Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge, dated 2015. The cartouche is surmounted by a royal crown and flanked by two finely modelled cherubs in high relief, each holding a book; floral swags of roses and thistles adorn the upper field on either side. A scrolled banner at the base of the design bears the Royal motto DIEU ET MON DROIT in raised capital letters. The engraver's initials J.B. appear within the decorative border, completing this richly baroque commemorative composition. |
