背面描述 A boldly sculpted White Falcon of the Plantagenets is depicted in profile, its wings partially raised in a display of heraldic authority. The falcon clutches in its talons the personal badge of King Edward IV — a smaller white falcon gripping an open fetterlock — rendered in intricate detail. The design draws directly from the historic Queen's Beasts series, evoking the dynastic symbolism of the Plantagenet royal house. The date and inscription are arranged around the central device, with the engraver's initials JC integrated into the legend.

附加信息

The Falcon of the Plantagenets was adopted as a personal badge by Edward III in the fourteenth century and remained closely associated with the House of York — Richard III famously deployed it on his livery badges. Its inclusion in the Queen's Beasts series reflects the Tudor adoption of earlier Plantagenet heraldic vocabulary, a deliberate act of dynastic legitimacy-building by Henry VII after Bosworth.

This is the fifth release in the ten-coin Queen's Beasts programme, struck at 156.3 g in a series where the sheer metal content per coin made the complete set an unusually heavy commitment for collectors at issue price.
