A couchant lion rests at her feet to the left, symbolising British strength and sovereignty. The inscription BRITANNIA and the fineness specification 999.9 arc around the upper left periphery, with 1/10 oz FINE GOLD continuing to the upper right. The date 2014 appears prominently in the exergue, and the designer's initials J.C are incused in the lower field. The design is the work of engraver Jody Clark. |
