The 1986 Falkland Islands 10 Pound note arrived just four years after the Argentine occupation ended — the first complete high-denomination issue designed and printed under peacetime conditions following the 1982 conflict. De La Rue had produced Falklands currency before the war; resuming that relationship was itself a quiet assertion of continuity with the Crown dependency status Argentina had disputed.

Pick 14 is the watermark-only security generation, predating the polymer and windowed-thread upgrades that came in later series. Given the islands' small population, print runs were modest and actual circulation wear is genuinely uncommon.
