正面描述 The obverse is printed in green on a pale pink guilloche underprint, with an intaglio vignette of Queen Elizabeth II in right-facing profile, set within an ornate crowned cartouche with scrollwork and foliate branches, positioned at right. The denomination '£10' appears in a panel at left alongside the bold letterpress legend 'TEN POUNDS', with the issuer's title 'THE GOVERNMENT OF THE FALKLAND ISLANDS' across the top and a legal tender clause below. The date and signature of the Commissioner of Currency appear in the lower centre, above the printer's imprint 'THOS DE LA RUE & CO LTD LONDON' at the bottom margin.

背面描述 The reverse is printed entirely in green and presents a large central guilloche medallion of intricate lathe-work, formed by interlocking curved bands and floral rosettes arranged in bilateral symmetry, surrounded by an elaborate acanthus and floral scroll border that fills the full field of the note. No text or numerals appear on the reverse. The overall composition is a classic De La Rue security lathe-work design intended to deter counterfeiting.

备注

The Falkland Islands Currency Ordinance of 1899 established a local currency tied at par to sterling, and that parity held without interruption through the entire 20th century — making Falklands notes effectively interchangeable with British pounds in purchasing power, though never legal tender in the United Kingdom itself. Thomas De La Rue had printed Falklands issues continuously from the earliest colonial notes, and the relationship was unbroken through this series.

Notes from the later end of this date range — particularly those dated 1982 — carry obvious historical weight given the Argentine occupation in April of that year, during which the Islands' currency briefly circulated alongside Argentine pesos under military administration.
