Beschrijving voorzijde Left-facing bare-headed effigy of King Charles III after the portrait by Raphael David Maklouf, rendered in high relief against a polished field. Aanvullende informatie

Westminster Abbey has hosted every English coronation since William the Conqueror in 1066, making it the obvious anchor for coronation commemorative issues. Charles III's ceremony on 6 May 2023 was the first coronation in seventy years — long enough that most of the Abbey's own staff had never worked one before.

Gibraltar's prolific commemorative program operates under a Royal Mint licensing arrangement, and the territory has issued coronation pieces for every British monarch since Elizabeth II. The 155.5g specification places this firmly in the five-troy-ounce category favored by bullion-adjacent collectors.
