Opmerkingen

Barclays Bank (Dominion, Colonial and Overseas) was itself a relatively recent creation in 1926, formed just three years earlier through the merger of Colonial Bank, the Anglo-Egyptian Bank, and the National Bank of South Africa. The merged entity inherited a sprawling portfolio of issuing territories across Africa, the Caribbean, and the Mediterranean — and this note was part of the effort to standardize instruments across those operations under a single institutional name.

Bradbury Wilkinson printed for a long roster of colonial and private issuers during this period. The S-prefix in the Pick reference confirms private bank status, not a central or government authority.
