| 表面の銘文 | Bank of Ireland I Promise to pay the bearer on demand Ten Pounds Sterling For the Governor and Company of the BANK of IRELAND BELFAST |
| 裏面の説明 | A detailed vignette of the Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim occupies the central field, rendered in intaglio-style line work with a reddish-brown colour scheme against a guilloche underprint. A Celtic knotwork medallion appears to the left, while the £10 denomination numeral is printed in the upper right and lower left corners. The legend identifying the distillery is inscribed to the right of the central vignette, with 'TEN POUNDS' in bold lettering along the lower margin. |

Bank of Ireland's decision to feature Old Bushmills Distillery on this £10 note was part of a broader Northern Ireland regional series, acknowledging that while Bank of Ireland is headquartered in Dublin, it retains one of only four commercial banks licensed to issue sterling banknotes in Northern Ireland. The distillery itself holds a 1608 licence to distil — arguably the oldest such document in continuous use anywhere — which gave the selection a defensible historical anchor rather than mere promotional sentiment.
De La Rue's Gateshead facility, formerly the Bradbury Wilkinson plant, handled production. The cotton substrate for this period is known to attract toning along fold lines under humid storage conditions.
