Reverse description A finely engraved intaglio vignette of the River Bann spirit — a bearded male river-god mask crowned with reeds and water vegetation — set within a rectangular cartouche at the centre of the note. Two large guilloche rosette circles flank the central vignette, with the £10 denomination numeral displayed within the right-hand roundel. The entire composition is enclosed within an elaborate Celtic knotwork and guilloche lace border printed in dark blue on a pale green ground.
