| 表面の説明 | The Hungarian coat of arms depicted as a bipartite shield surmounted by a royal crown; the dexter field bears the traditional Hungarian horizontal barry (alternating stripes), while the sinister field displays the patriarchal double cross on a stepped base. The divided date flanks the shield, with '17' to the left and '04' to the right of the escutcheon. The coin's border is ornamented with a continuous beaded or milled inner rim. No legend appears on the obverse; the design relies solely on the heraldic imagery and split date. |

Francis II Rákóczi struck these coins during the Kuruc uprising against Habsburg rule — a war of independence that collapsed in 1711 when his depleted forces signed the Peace of Szatmár without him. The copper poltura issues were emergency monetary policy as much as anything else, filling a vacuum left by Habsburg coinage that much of the population refused to use or simply couldn't obtain.
The series covers several die varieties cataloged separately under Éremhatározó, reflecting inconsistent production across multiple minting sites operating under wartime conditions.
