To the right, an oval frame encloses a vignette of the Great Sphinx with the Pyramids of Giza in the background, rendered in fine intaglio line work. Arabic inscriptions appear at the top and bottom within ornamental cartouches, with the serial number and a manuscript signature of the Minister of Finance in an oval panel to the left. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse carries a vignette of the Mosque of Mohamed Ali at the Cairo Citadel to the left, set within an elaborate radiating guilloche surround. The centre panel bears the large numeral "10" over the word "PIASTRES" in violet, framed by fine engine-turned lacework, with the issuing authority inscription above and the Minister of Finance title below. Numerals "10" in orange appear at the lower-left and upper-right corners, while a large plain watermark medallion occupies the right field. |
