Комментарии	Lebanon's 1942 small-denomination notes were a direct consequence of wartime monetary dislocation. Following the fall of France in 1940, the Banque de Syrie et du Liban — which had handled currency for both Syria and Lebanon under French mandate — faced supply chain disruptions that made normal printing arrangements impossible. The Survey of Egypt, a mapping and printing bureau in Cairo operating under British authority, stepped in as a practical wartime substitute. The arrangement reflects how thoroughly the Levant's finances had been drawn into Allied logistical networks by 1942.
