Obverse description Octagonal zinc notgeld token with a plain, unadorned field. The large numeral '10' occupies the central field in bold raised relief, denoting the denomination. A beaded inner circle surrounds the central numeral, separating it from the circumferential legend. The circular legend reads 'PORZELLANFABRIK ROTHENKIRCHEN' in the upper arc and 'ERNST * METZLER *' in the lower arc, both in raised Latin capital letters, identifying the issuing porcelain factory. The overall design is utilitarian and typical of German World War I emergency small-change tokens.
