| Obverse description | Printed in dark red on a light pink ground with a guilloche underprint, the note carries a decorative border of interlocking oval and lozenge motifs with the denomination numeral 10 in each corner. The heading KRIEGSGEFANGENEN-GUTSCHEIN / MINDEN appears at the top, below which the denomination 10 PFENNIG 10 is set in large bold letterpress type. A circular cache stamp of the Kassenverwaltung des Gefangenenlagers bearing an eagle vignette is applied to the lower left, accompanied by a manuscript signature and the issue date MINDEN, 1. Dezember 1917, with the serial number printed in a cartouche at the foot. |

| Reverse description | Printed in a lighter red-pink on a fine guilloche underprint, the reverse carries the same decorative oval-and-lozenge border with corner denomination numerals 10. The field is entirely occupied by four blocks of regulatory text in German, separated by dotted rules, setting out the restricted legal-tender status and exchange conditions of the voucher within the Stammlager Minden and its work detachments. |
| Reverse lettering | Kein öffentliches Zahlungsmittel. Nur gültig im inneren Zahlungsverkehr des Stammlagers Minden und dessen Arbeitskommandos. Dieser Gutschein wird bei der Entlassung oder Versetzung des Kriegsgefangenen in ein anderes Stammlager gegen Lagergeld des neuen Lagers umgetauscht. Scheine, bei denen die Nummer fehlt oder unleserlich ist, werden nicht eingelöst. Stark abgenutzte Scheine sind der Kassenverwaltung zum Umtausch einzusenden, so lange die Nummer noch zu lesen ist. |
