| Beschrijving voorzijde | Octagonal zinc notgeld token with a plain, utilitarian design. The large numeral '10' dominates the central field within a beaded inner circle. The issuer's name 'C. CONRADTY' arcs along the upper periphery, while 'GRÜNTHAL' curves along the lower periphery, both separated from the central device by a continuous beaded border. The overall relief is shallow and the design is boldly struck in an industrial style consistent with wartime emergency coinage. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
C. Conradty was a major German manufacturer of carbon and graphite products — pencil leads, electrodes, arc lamp carbons — headquartered in Grünthal, Bavaria. Like many industrial firms during WWI and its aftermath, Conradty issued its own notgeld tokens to compensate for the chronic shortage of small state coinage, paying workers in scrip redeemable only at company facilities. Zinc was the material of necessity; copper and nickel had been requisitioned for the war effort years earlier.
