| 裏面の説明 | Octagonal reverse mirroring the general layout of the obverse, with a pearl border following the eight-sided periphery and an inner beaded circle enclosing the central field. The circular legend SALEM ALEIKUM — a reference to one of the Yenidze factory's well-known cigarette brands — arcs across the upper portion. The large denomination numeral 10 occupies the center of the field, while a six-pointed star, a small floral ornament, and a second star are arranged as separators in the lower portion of the legend. |

Yenidze was the tobacco company behind one of Dresden's most eccentric landmarks — a cigarette factory built in 1909 to resemble a mosque, complete with a dome and minaret smokestack, designed to market its Ottoman-style blends to German consumers. During the First World War, acute coin shortages prompted thousands of German municipalities, companies, and utilities to issue their own emergency coinage, or Notgeld. This zinc piece is one such issue, circulating locally as a substitute for official currency when the Imperial mint could not keep pace with wartime metal and production demands.
