正面描述 Printed in black letterpress on salmon-red paper, the note is framed by a decorative dashed border with small floral corner ornaments. A fine text underprint reading "Marktmagistrat Ebersberg" runs across both the upper and lower portions of the field. The denomination numeral "10" appears in large bold type at left and right, flanking the central text "Gutschein über zehn Pfennige.", with the issuing authority "Marktmagistrat Ebersberg." at the top, the place and date "Ebersberg, 15. Dezember 1916." below, and the printer's imprint "J. P. Himmer, Augsburg." at the foot.

备注

Ebersberg's 10 Pfennig Notgeld of 1916 belongs to the earliest wave of German municipal emergency currency, issued when small-denomination coins vanished almost entirely from circulation within the first two years of the war — hoarded by civilians and consumed by military procurement alike. Hundreds of German towns turned to their local magistrates and printers to fill the gap, and Ebersberg was no exception.

J. P. Himmer of Augsburg, founded in 1842, was a well-established regional printer with the capacity and reputation to handle official civic commissions across Bavaria. Their output was functional rather than ornate.
