| 正面描述 | Central field features a heraldic shield bearing a warrior figure in medallion style, flanked by two shield supporters. The city name STADT ZWIESEL is divided across the composition, with the date 1918 positioned above the central device. Patriotic inscriptions EISERNE FRONT and EISERNE HEIMAT ('Iron Front, Iron Homeland') appear in the legend, reflecting the wartime Notgeld issue context. The design is rendered in a bold, utilitarian style characteristic of World War I German emergency coinage. |

Zwiesel is a glassmaking town in the Bavarian Forest, and by 1918 the twin pressures of war requisitioning and hoarding had stripped Germany's smaller municipalities of almost all circulating coinage. This piece is one of hundreds of locally issued Kriegsnotgeld tokens produced under those conditions — zinc chosen here precisely because copper and nickel had been absorbed into the war effort years earlier.
