| 背面描述 | The city arms of Worms am Rhein are depicted as a vertically lined heraldic shield of ornate outline, bearing a diagonal key in bend and a five-pointed star in the upper dexter canton. The shield is flanked on either side by the divided date, with '19' to the left and '18' to the right, the numerals positioned in the field adjacent to the shield's sides. The overall composition is unadorned, with the armorial device filling the central field against a plain background. |

Worms issued zinc notgeld in 1918 as the Imperial German government's wartime requisitioning of copper and nickel left municipal authorities scrambling to fill the small-denomination void. Zinc was the last-resort substitute — harder to strike cleanly, prone to corrosion, and never intended for long circulation. Most pieces from this issue survived in reasonable condition simply because they were hoarded or retired quickly once the emergency passed.
