| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse mirrors the general layout of the obverse, with a pearl border following the octagonal periphery and an inner rope border enclosing the central field. The large numeral '10' occupies the center in bold raised relief. The legend 'KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE' (small change substitute token) arcs around the upper portion between the borders, while three five-pointed stars are arranged in a triangular formation at the base of the inner field. |

Wissing's 1917 zinc notgeld emerged from the same municipal scramble that afflicted hundreds of small German communities when wartime metal requisitions stripped copper and nickel from civilian coinage. The Imperial government's priority was shell casings, not pfennigs. Local administrations were left to improvise, and zinc — cheaper, harder to work, prone to corrosion — became the default material for whoever could arrange a private striking.
The Funck reference distinguishes at least two die varieties under this type, suggesting more than one production run or a die replacement mid-issue.
