Obverse description Within a beaded border, the municipal coat of arms of Weißenfels occupies the central field, depicting a fortified town gate (portcullis) with flanking walls and a lion passant displayed above in a shield. The circular Latin legend surrounds the design, reading from lower left and terminating at the base with a six-pointed star. The overall style is characteristic of German notgeld coinage of the early Weimar period, with crisp relief on a plain field.

Reverse description Within a beaded border, the large denomination numeral '10' is prominently struck in the upper central field, with the word 'PFENNIG' inscribed beneath in block capitals flanked by two small stars. The date '1919' appears in the lower portion of the field, punctuated by two small dots. The curved legend 'ARBEIT UND SPARE' arcs along the upper left periphery, completing the civic motto of the issuing authority. The composition and style are consistent with wartime and post-war German emergency coinage (Notgeld).
