正面描述 Round notgeld token in dark brown and grey-white. A solid dark central disc bears the numeral '10' in large white letterpress type, separated from the denomination legend 'PFENNIG' below by two parallel horizontal rules. The issuer's name 'VEREINIGTE HARZER PORTLANDCEMENT- U. KALKINDUSTRIE, ELBINGERODE' runs in a circular legend around the perimeter, framed by an outer ring of fine dot-work and an inner dotted border, with a small six-pointed star at the base.

备注

Elbingerode notgeld from a cement and lime producer — exactly the kind of private emergency currency that flooded Germany after 1914, when small-denomination coins vanished from circulation almost overnight as hoarding stripped the Reichsbank's reserves. Industrial firms, municipalities, and even individual shops issued their own scrip to make change possible at all.

Tieste Va#1655.05.02 identifies this as a documented series from the Vereinigte Harzer works, though surviving examples are sparsely traded and condition varies sharply — the paper stock used by smaller industrial issuers was rarely archival quality.
