The city coat of arms of Torgau occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield with chevrons and a passant lion, surmounted by an elaborate helm with a spread eagle as crest and flanked by foliate mantling. The Latin legend STADT TORGAU arcs along the upper left and upper right sides of the field, with the date 1917 inscribed vertically along the right side. |
