The "Vereinigte Städtebahn" designation reflects the operational merger of the two neighboring city tramways, which were administratively distinct despite running largely contiguous routes. J. C. König & Ebhardt of Hannover, a reputable commercial printer with a long history in securities and official documents, handled the production — quality above what most Notgeld of this type received.
