| 背面描述 | The reverse presents the numeral '10' rendered in large Gothic-style figures with hatched detailing, enclosed within a raised circular border at the center of the field. The legend 'Not-Geld' arcs across the upper portion and 'Pfennig' across the lower portion of the coin, each separated by a five-pointed star, all in Gothic script. The design is framed by a raised pearl rim consistent with the obverse. |

Sonneberg issued this zinc notgeld piece in 1921 as the postwar coinage shortage continued to strangle small-denomination commerce across Thuringia. The city was then, as now, the administrative center of a district whose economy had long depended on toy manufacturing — an industry devastated by the Allied trade blockades of the war years and the subsequent collapse of export markets.
