| Reverse description | A pearl border follows the full perimeter of the octagonal flan, with the inscription NOTGELD arching across the upper field and the word PFENNIG. appearing along the lower field, each separated from the large central numeral by a pair of five-pointed star ornaments at either side. The denomination numeral 10 dominates the central field in large, bold raised lettering. The design is spare and functional, characteristic of German Notgeld emergency coinage issued during the coin shortage of the First World War era. |
